Leadership
Our leadership is comprised of individuals who have demonstrated a strong commitment to our community. They bring varied business, work, career, and volunteer experiences to our organization. Most importantly, they share a passion for the well-being and success of our community.
Governance
- A simple majority of the ACVF Members makes all decisions regarding:
- the solicitation and receipt of all donations
- all expenditures of the ACVF
- the endorsement and opposition of candidates
- the advocacy of various issues and policy positions
- No endorsed candidate nor elected official is involved in any of the decisions made by the ACVF Members. However, the ACVF Members may consult with endorsed candidates and/or elected officials from time to time.
- No Member receives any compensation for their service as a member or for providing services to the ACVF. Members are reimbursed for their documented direct out of pocket expenses incurred on behalf of the ACVF.
- Meetings of the Members are called from time to time by the Treasurer or any other Member. Meetings may be held in person, telephonically, electronically, or by email. A simple majority of the Members shall constitute a quorum for conducting business and making decisions. Business may be conducted and decisions may be made by email.
- Since the ACVF is not a governmental entity and is not required to conduct public or open meetings, meetings of the ACVF Members shall not be open to the general public nor will any of the records, emails, or other documents generated by the ACVF Members be made available to the general public, except for reports and filings made with the Internal Revenue Service and the Texas Ethics Commission.
