Statement of Values

  • We support traditional conservative values.
  • We support the Republican Party of the State of Texas and of Aransas County.
  • We support the Party Principles included in the Preamble of the Republican Party Platform.
  • We support the current and future success and prosperity of Aransas County for the benefit of all stakeholders, including: residents, second homeowners, local businesses, property owners, local government entities, law enforcement, educational institutions and students, employers, employees, non-profit organizations, religious organizations, and visitors and tourists.
  • We support responsible, sensible, and resilient community growth, and proper planning of that growth.
  • We support low taxes and broadening of the tax base in the community through responsible, sensible, and resilient community growth.
  • We support responsible, sensible, and resilient economic development in the community to enhance the prosperity of individuals, employees, and businesses and to broaden the tax base. In this regard, we support the Aransas County Partnership Economic Development Corporation and the Aransas County Alliance Local Government Corporation.
  • We support traditional education curricula in all Aransas County schools, and we oppose “critical race theory” and “intersectionality”, the “1619 Project”, and all other “woke” curricula from being taught in any of the community schools.
  • We support responsible, sensible, and resilient preservation and management of the environment in the community.
  • We support effective, efficient, open, and transparent government, and elected officials and civil servants who do their jobs to represent the best interests of all community stakeholders and whose views are consistent our community values and philosophy.
  • We support government activities and decision making that promotes traditional community health and welfare .
  • We support a safe community and law enforcement and fire departments that protect residents, businesses, and visitors and their property.
  • We support the provision of adequate and locally provided health care to the community.
  • We believe that all local government entities and departments should act cooperatively within the bounds of their respective jurisdictions and the authorities granted to them by applicable state laws. We oppose “mission creep” and “jurisdictional over-reach” by any local government entity.
  • We support improving drainage, roads, and other infrastructure in the community.
  • We support increasing the storm resiliency of the shorelines in Aransas County.
  • We support and promote more involvement and participation in the community and local government by younger generation residents.
  • We support non-profit and civic organizations in Aransas County to the extent that they promote the interests of the community consistent with our values and philosophy.
